In the New Version of our Plumbing Design Software, you will now be able to find new options for determining probable design flows in the water network.
So, we seek to offer additional options to the use of the HUNTER'S or Fixture Units method, which is the method implemented since the first versions of the software.
In this way, from each new project created, you can go to the CONFIGURATION tab and load the Sanitary Fixtures Manager by clicking on this button.
You will see that, by default, as in previous versions, the option to perform the calculation using the HUNTER method is presented as active.
When active, you have the possibility to update the values of Fixture Units for each Sanitary Fixture according to what your country's sanitary codes regulate.
And, by clicking on this button, you can define, if required, the relationship between fixture units and probable flow.
What is new, in what will be fourth version of the software, is the option of using calculation methods based on probable simultaneous demand formulas.
For that we activate this option.
You will see that the table now retains the columns with the required information for headlosses and pressures calculation in each Sanitary Fixture.
But, instead of Fixture Units, it asks you to specify the normative values of each Sanitary Fixture's instantaneous flow, in the case that your country's codes are based on simultaneity factors methods.
Given the variety of methods based on this concept, you will see that, by clicking on this button, you access the selection dialog of the method to be used in the calculation of the simultaneous demand factors.
There are options like not applying any reduction to the instantaneous flows.
To use the typical simultaneous demand formulas and, in which case, you will have options to specify the parameters, both for internal networks as well as for main distribution pipes.
Note that, if you do not use formulas of this type in your country, you can always select the option of specifying, through a table, the relation between number of sanitary Fixtures, or dwellings, versus the simultaneous demand factors.
It is worth mentioning that, with this option, it is possible to model any method based on this concept in the program.
And finally, you have the option to use the formula of the Spanish Association for Standardization. In which case, by selecting the type of building from this list, the program will define the corresponding parameters.
In this way you will see that the new version of PLUMBER allows you to adapt practically to any sanitary design code.
