Easy to Adapt to Your Country's Normative Parameters
All you need is to set, in conjunction with the current codes standards or regulations in your country, the maximum Fixture Units value that each drain pipe will be able to convey in the drainage system. Also, for each Plumbing Fixture (more than 10 fixtures are available in the actual version of the software), you need to indicate the respective Fixture Units values to be discharged from them into the sanitary drainage system.
Similarly, for stormwater drainage, you will specify for rain gutters, Leaders and storm building (house) drains the maximum drainage areas that can be drawn for each pipe diameter and slope.
Create your Building's Drainage Projects by Drawing or by Importing Drawing files
DESAGÜES drawing window gives you the options for storm and sanitary systems creation by drawing their components. Visualization (color, visibility, and line width) of the graphics entities in the drawing area can be handled by the project’s layers.
If the layout of your project's sanitary and storm drainage systems are already drawn in an AUTOCAD DWG/DXF file, all you need is to read it from DESAGÜES to automatically generate the drawing and data tables.
You don’t need to worry about defining the network topology, or manually entering data such as the length of the pipes or the number of sanitary fittings such as the elbows necessary to make changes in branch’s horizontal alignment. You have no idea how fast it is to create a DESAGÜES project from a drawing file!
Assign Horizontal Branch Networks to Stacks, and Stacks to the Building Drains
With DESAGÜES, it is possible to model all the components within the sanitary and storm drainage systems. You can have multiple horizontal branches networks assigned to different soil stack pipes within the building. Thus, the Stack’s design will be based on the total fixture units draining to it.
Later, the building drains design will be performed in the same way: you will specify, for each node or inspection chamber on it, the type and quantity of discharging soil stack pipes. Then DESAGÜES will be in charge of obtaining the total drained by each pipe within the system, until its connection with the building sewer.
Sewage Sump Pit Design and Pumping Station Calculation
DRAINS includes the tool for sump pits design as well as the sump pump operating point calculation, that may be required in any of your projects.
Once the building’s sanitary sewers network is finished, the program will convert the Total Fixture units into a probable flow to carry out the design of the sewage pumping station design.
It includes the options to specify the sump pit’s shape and, based on the pumped flow, the automatic determination of its total volume.
Also, for the sump pump equipment selection, you will find the pressure drop calculator for the suction and discharge pipes with which, together with the characteristics of the sump pit, determine the equipment’s pumping head as well as its power.
Plumbing Vent Design: Individual Vents and Vent Stacks
Buildings’ Plumbing vent design is carried out in the most practical way with DRAINS: it defines the individual ventilation networks by drawing them directly on the ventilated sanitary drainage network, assigns the ventilated sanitary fixtures at each node and specifies the Vent Stack location.
DRAINS will carry out the automatic determination of each vent pipe’s size (Vent Stacks, individual vents, branch vents).
At the end, you will be able to generate isometric views of each networks as well as the lists of materials.
