{"id":3084,"date":"2016-04-01T10:45:54","date_gmt":"2016-04-01T15:15:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hidrasoftware.com\/en\/?p=3084"},"modified":"2016-04-01T10:49:51","modified_gmt":"2016-04-01T15:19:51","slug":"defining-sub-networks-in-a-sanitary-sewer-network-created-with-cloacas-software","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hidrasoftware.com\/en\/defining-sub-networks-in-a-sanitary-sewer-network-created-with-cloacas-software\/","title":{"rendered":"Defining Sub Networks in a Sanitary Sewer Network created with CLOACAS Software"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Body\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">In the <b>current version of our Sanitary Sewer Design Software: CLOACAS <\/b>(SEWAGE), both the design and the longitudinal profiles creation approach is based on the premise that <b>the user has previously defined the sub networks representing the various circuits or branches which make up the Sanitary Sewer Network.<\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">In this tutorial you will learn how to define the various sewer sub networks, once the network has been created in any CLOACAS project. In the following image, the sanitary sewer network to subdivide is shown:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3094\" or labels have been assigned to manholes in order to maintain a reference to the sanitary sewer network\u2019s discharge point<\/strong> (\u201cA0\u201d manhole) and according to the branch\u00b4s position, establishing, where possible, its order (primary, secondary, tertiary, etc.) through the sequence of numbers to the right of the letter \u201cA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For example, <strong>the sewer pipe section A1.3.1 \u2013 A1.3, is the \u201cA1.3\u201d sub network<\/strong>, having a third order, because <strong>it is tributary to the \u201cA1\u201d sub network<\/strong>, one with a secondary order which is, at the same time, <strong>affluent to the sanitary system\u2019s main sub network: the \u201cA0.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In the following table we list the sub networks in which the sanitary sewer network will be divided<\/strong> in this example, indicating assigned pipe sections to each one:<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"tabla\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<table This pipe is where, in terms of the sub network\u2019s development, the sewage flow collection begins.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, it is necessary, before accessing\u00a0 the sub networks dialog, <strong><em>to set as checked the property \u201cStarting Sewer Pipe\u201d<\/em><\/strong> in the respective sanitary pipe sections. To accomplish that, <strong>you must access the s<\/strong><strong>ewer pipes editor<\/strong> (by double-clicking the respective row in the sewer pipes table at the sewer pipes tab, or by selecting the pipe from the drawing area and right-clicking to access to the object\u2019s menu, properties option):<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full \u201c<b><i>Starting Sewer Pipe<\/i><\/b>\u201d property has been set to true in any pipe section, you will see in the tables in the main window (SEWER PIPES tab) that the respective upstream manholes labels as well as the pipes sections will be colored in light gray, so as to warn you that these are the starting points at each sub network: <\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" All sewer pipe sections at each sub network must be selected sequentially, from its starting sewer pipe to the most downstream one.<\/h3>\n<p>While this condition is a consequence of the above one and is also something, if you will, \u201cnatural,\u201d <strong>it is important to note that the sub networks dialog will only admit, <\/strong>in any sub network\u2019s creation, <strong>sewer pipe sections whose upstream manhole has the same label or name as the downstream manhole of its previously assigned pipe section<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For example, shown in the following image is the error message that popped up when <strong>we tried to add the pipe section A4.2-A4.1 to the \u201cCol-A4\u201d Sub Network<\/strong>.
